Tennis: 2025/26 Holiday Update
Our tennis players have had a highly productive holiday season, with Cara, Lisa-Marie and Jenna competing successfully in tournaments both locally and abroad.
Tennis: 2025/26 Holiday Update
Lisa-Marie du Toit enjoyed an outstanding run of results. She won the first Stellenbosch J30 tournament, reached the semi-finals of the doubles at the second ITF tournament, placed fifth in the singles at the first Cape Town Growthpoint tournament, and won the doubles at the same event. She then went on to win the Winelands Growthpoint tournament and was selected for the SA Schools team at InterPro. Impressively, she achieved all of this without losing a single match at NM 1 for Cavaliers.
Jenna Theron competed in the Stellenbosch J30 tournament, reaching the quarter-finals in the singles and winning the doubles with her partner, Charlotte Bouwer from Hoër Meisieskool Bloemhof, in both the first and second weeks of the tournament.
Cara le Grange, accompanied by coach Sunel Malan, travelled to Bradenton, Florida, for the second time following her qualification for the main draw of the Eddie Herr tournament, where she reached the second round. She also competed in the Orange Bowl in Fort Lauderdale, reaching the first round of qualifying, and advanced to the third round in Boca Raton, Florida. These are excellent results against strong international opposition.
